TEP Foundation mourns attack on Knoxville Church

The Tennessee Equality Project would like to offer our support, thoughts and prayers to the victims, their families, and the church community of Knoxville.  The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church has been a supporter of our causes and we will stand with them in their hour of need.  We offer this support with open arms and hearts to those affected by the horrendous events today.  An attack against one is an attack against us all.

We are grateful that federal and local authorities are diligently investigating this matter.  We must send a clear and strong message to all who would commit crimes of hate that it is wrong, illegal and we will not stand for it in any form.  During this time of economic and political change, we must not forget that hate and violence threaten to undermine everyoneʼs hope for a better day.

If you have been a victim of a hate crime, please go the TEP website at tnep.org to log your information.
