Update (11/26/08): This event is sold out.

Comedienne Barb Neligan will appear at Mad Donna's in East Nashville one night only for an evening of laughter benefiting Nashville Pride.

On Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., Neligan will share her witty observations about everything from her attempts to get in touch with her inner curtsy as a debutante to her inexplicable affinity for flannel as a small child. A limited number of tickets are available. The cost is $10.

Raised Catholic in the deep south, Neligan spent the first few years of her life managing the train wreck that occurred when those forces pulled into her personal station and crashed head on into the fact that she also just happened to have been born a lesbian.

When the smoke cleared, she realized she was holding a ticket for what promised to be a pretty interesting ride. She climbed on board and has spent the years since just enjoying the view through that particular window and shouting out witty comments about all aspects of the landscape to strangers as they pass by her on their way to the bar car.

For tickets, visit boxofficetickets.com. Mad Donna's is located at 1313 Woodland Street in Nashville.
