Suzanne Westenhoefer, an out lesbian who's performed on The David Letterman Show, brings her new, mostly-unscripted act "Totally Inappropriate" to Zanies Comedy Club on Tuesday, August 10.

The small-town Pennsylvania-born comic began her career in 1990 when she performed in an amateur contest in New York. She won, and since that night she's entertained audiences with her no-holds-barred take on society and sexuality. Westenhoefer, a three-time Gay and Lesbian American Music Award (GLAMA) winner, became the first openly lesbian comic ever to appear on television in 1991 on an episode of Sally Jesse Raphael. Her comedy has also been featured on television specials for HBO, Bravo and LOGO, as well as a stint on GSN's remake of the classic game show, I've Got a Secret.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m., with doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $23 and can be purchased online or by calling Zanies box office at 615-269-0221. Patrons must be 18 or older.

Nashville Pride is giving away two tickets to the performance. To enter yourself in the drawing, email burningkarma@hotmail.com with your name, email address and phone number. The deadline to enter is August 6.
