Out & About Nashville, Inc. (D/B/A Out & About Newspaper) debuted in the fall of 2002 as a monthly newspaper designed to fill a growing need in the Nashville gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community.
Since then it has grown to provide coverage of the GLBT community for all of Tennessee. With a target audience of more than 250,000 people, O&AN provides in-depth local news coverage along with political, business, feature, sports and entertainment stories.

Advertising Sales Executive
Out & About Newspaper, Tennessee's largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender print and online publication, is looking for an experienced sales person to serve as an Advertising Sales Executive.
You’ll be in close contact with our current clients ensuring their total satisfaction while also using your superior networking skills to bring in new advertisers; make an instant commission on inherited accounts and the sky’s the limit for earning potential on new accounts.
This is a commission based job with a healthy bonus for those individuals who meet monthly sales quotas.
You will report directly to the sales manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to become active in the GLBT community and make some great money this summer.

Production artist(s)
If you are a graphics production person with publication design experience and skilled on a Mac-based system, we want to talk to you! Duties include assistance with publication and ad layout. Must be skilled with Quark and PhotoShop. Use your creative skills AND build your portfolio. This position may be eligible for college internship credit!!
Knoxville or Nashville Sports Writer
Reporting to the Editor, you will write and report on the Nashville & Middle Tennessee GLBT sports scene. The editor will make story assignments. One to two stories per month with a story length of 300 to 500 words.
Knoxville or Nashville News Writer
Reporting to the managing editor, these two writers will focus on general news coverage in the Nashville GLBT community. The managing editor and or editorial staff will make story assignments. A background in news writing would be helpful. Focused and fair reporting is necessary. One to two stories per month will be expected with a story length of 300 to 500 words.
