The Dance Theatre of Tennessee (DTT) hosted a grand opening festival at its new center for dance in Donelson on Saturday, Aug. 21.
The Brooks Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee hosted its sixth annual ‘Wanderlust’ Party, August 13, 2010 at the Lane Motor Museum. The travel-themed event benefited The Brooks Fund, which is dedicated to encouraging the inclusion, acceptance and recognition of Middle Tennessee's LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) community and building bridges between all segments of the community.

On July 31, Gay Games VIII began in Cologne, Germany, with an opening ceremony at RheinEnergie Stadium. Almost 10,000 participants from over 70 countries are entered this year. Six Nashville residents are competing in this year's edition.
